From the Paramount Star Trek Prop Warehouse come Dilithium Crystals prop from Star Trek. This crystal cluster has one extra large crystal with several smaller crystals attached. The cluster measures approximately 3" in length by 1.75" in width by 2" at its highest point. The large crystal is nearly transparent at the tip while more opaque at the base.
It's a super looking prop and we are assuming it was used as a set dressing for the Enterprise Episode: "Judgement". This episode features Captain Archer being sent to Klingon Penal colony "Rura Penthe". This tied into the plotline of Star Trek VI as it was the same planet that Kirk and McCoy get sent to after being convicted for the assassination of Chancellor Gorkon.
Dilithium is a rare and valuable substance found on small number of planets including “Rura Penthe” and “Colidan”. The crystals were featured as plot points throughout the various Star Trek series and feature films. The crystals are sought after because they are used in the warp drive systems of many starships to control the power levels generated in the reaction chamber. Most often dilithium crystals are found in crystal clusters.
